Antiviral Drugs

Antiviral Drugs

  • There are 219 known human-infecting viruses
  • Vaccines were developed for 16 human-infecting viruses
  • Therapeutic drugs were developed for only 9 human-infecting viruses
  • Life-threatening viruses including HBV, Zika virus and measles virus have no drugs available to treat
  • We develop the MoSTT-ViP (Molecular Screening Technology Targeting a Virus Protein) technology, a high-throughput screening technology that can screen out molecules inhibiting the function of a viral protein.
  • Like COVID-19, humans continue to be exposed to life-threatening viruses, for many of which no drug is currently available to treat.
  • We use our MoSTT-ViP technology to develop therapeutic drugs for these no drug-available, life-threatening viruses such as HBV and Zika virus.

MoSTT-ViP screening system

  • MoSTT-ViP screening system : 2 module-integrated system
    • Viral Protein module (ViP-module)
    • Signal Producing (SP-module)
  • MoSTT-ViP systems can be quickly constructed tailored for a specific viral protein by exchanging ViP-module at a low cost & in short period of time
